Biography
Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937), philosophe et homme politique italien. Secrétaire du parti communiste italien à la création duquel il avait participé en 1924, il fonda le journal L'Unità. Il est arrêté le 8 novembre 1926 et passe plus de dix ans en prison. Il est libéré en avril 1937 et meurt quelques jours plus tard. Les cahiers qu'il laisse comptent parmi les textes politiques les plus importants du XXe siècle.
